Who I AM
My journey, began as an immigrant from Germany facing initial communication and cultural adjustments. It instilled in me deep resilience, adaptability and a profound appreciation for clear communication—principles central to my training philosophy.
Shortly after moving to the USA I enlisted as a U.S. Army Military Working Dog (MWD) Handler/Trainer, one of the military's most selective professions. My service included a combat deployment to Afghanistan where I supported U.S. troops and NATO partners, to include Special Operations with Explosive Detection and controlled aggression K9 capabilities. Stateside I conducted Explosive Detection K9 law enforcement support for a community of over 30,000. While serving active duty I also had the honor of working directly for the United States Secret Service to protect multiple Presidents and high level government officials. This diverse experience honed my skills in advanced obedience, specialized explosive detection work, most importantly though canine behavior management under various conditions. My dedication and proficiency were further recognized when I was chosen as one of only 14 U.S. Army instructors for the elite Department of Defense MWD Course. In this role, I was entrusted with shaping the next generation of MWDs for all service branches. There I developed tailored training programs for numerous canine teams, and managed well over a million dollars in K9 assets.
My experience in the canine world extends passionately into the sporting and hunting dog arena, where I am an avid hunter and staunch conservationist. I deeply focus on ethical hunting practices and the critical role of well-trained dogs in game retrieval. NO Animal deserves to suffer and well trained dogs are the greatest assets humans can employ to mitigate the loss and suffering of wounded game. Since 2019, I have successfully competed in both American Kennel Club (AKC) and Hunting Retriever Club (HRC) hunt tests, demonstrating a consistent ability to train and handle retrieving breeds. To further my skillset, I dove into versatile hunting breeds. I imported a Deutsch Kurzhaar (German Shorthaired Pointer) directly from Germany and now actively participate in the esteemed german JGHV (Jagdgebrauchshundverband) versatile hunting dog testing system. I am committed to upholding the highest standards in working dog training and performance, ensuring that canine partners are skilled, reliable, and ethical contributors in the field.
